  1. Booking Appointments

Appointments can be booked securely online through Cliniko, our practice management system.

Following your booking, you will receive confirmation of your appointment together with any pre-consultation questionnaires or information we ask you to complete. Completing these before your appointment allows your clinician to review your medical history and prepare for your consultation.

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that your appointment details and medical information will be securely managed through Cliniko in accordance with UK data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.

  1. Consultation Fees

Consultation fees are payable at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

Our current consultation fees are published on our website and may be updated periodically.

Consultation fees cover your appointment and routine clinical documentation, including a consultation summary where appropriate.

Additional services, including blood tests, prescriptions and follow-up consultations, are charged separately unless otherwise stated.

  1. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.

  • More than 48 hours’ notice – full refund.
  • 24–48 hours’ notice – 50% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend – consultation fees are non-refundable.

We understand that exceptional circumstances can arise and will consider these on an individual basis.

  1. Remote Consultations

For remote consultations, you are responsible for ensuring you have a suitable device, a stable internet connection and a private environment where your consultation can take place confidentially.

If technical difficulties prevent the consultation from taking place, we will make reasonable efforts to reconnect or rearrange your appointment.

  1. Blood Tests

Where blood tests are clinically appropriate, we work with our partner laboratory, Medichecks, to arrange investigations.

Blood samples are taken at one of Medichecks’ nationwide clinics. By proceeding with blood tests, you consent to the sharing of the information necessary to arrange your testing with Medichecks.

Results are returned securely to your clinician, reviewed as part of your care, and used to guide any recommendations or treatment where appropriate.

Hormone blood tests are not routinely required for all women experiencing menopause symptoms and will only be recommended where they are likely to influence diagnosis or management.

  1. Prescriptions

Where clinically appropriate, your doctor may recommend treatment, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or other medications.

Private prescriptions are charged separately unless otherwise stated. Medication costs are payable directly to the dispensing pharmacy.

The Menopause Partnership cannot guarantee the availability or cost of prescribed medication.

  1. Communication with Your NHS GP

With your consent, we will normally send a summary of your consultation and any treatment recommendations to your NHS GP to support continuity of care.

If you choose not to share information with your GP, this may affect our ability to provide ongoing treatment or prescribe certain medications safely.

  1. Follow-up Care

Menopause care often requires ongoing review to assess symptoms, monitor treatment and make any necessary adjustments.

Your clinician will advise when a follow-up appointment is recommended. It is your responsibility to arrange any recommended reviews or monitoring.

  1. Your Responsibilities

To help us provide safe and effective care, you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

This includes informing us of any medical conditions, allergies, medications, pregnancy, or significant changes to your health before or after your consultation.

  1. Medical Records and Confidentiality

Your medical records are securely maintained using Cliniko and are managed in accordance with UK data protection legislation, GMC guidance and our Privacy Policy.

We take appropriate measures to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information. You may request access to your medical records in accordance with your legal rights.

  1. Website Information

The information provided on our website is intended for general educational purposes only.

It should not be used as a substitute for personalised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

  1. Changes to Our Services
